The Community Services Committee has arranged a direct service opportunity with Food for Life for interested club members.  You might recall that a couple of years ago we helped them sort potatoes.  This time we will be packing bags of fresh produce to be distributed in the Halton and Hamilton community.  This packing role is mission-critical for Food for Life (they are currently packing 3000 bags per week) so we hope we will be able to support them with 10 volunteers.  There will be physical distancing in place in the warehouse.

Date and Time:  October 28th from 9:30 am- 12:30 pm.

Location:  2258 Mountainside Drive, Burlington (Note:  this is not the same location as where we sorted potatoes)

Parking:  You can park in front of the warehouse.  If there are no spots out front, please use FAITH Church’s parking lot across the street.

Attire:  Please dress comfortably, layers are best.  You must wear closed-toed shoes - no flip flops or sandals are permitted in the warehouse.  Shorts are permitted.

Gloves and Masks:  Gloves and masks are mandatory.  You are welcome to bring your own, but Food for Life can also provide them for you.

Water:  They do not always have water available in the warehouse, so please bring a water bottle with you.

Screening:  Please complete the COVID screening before coming to the warehouse.  Food for Life staff will be asking you if you have passed.  If you have not passed, please do not come to the warehouse to pack, and please email me to let me know you are unable to come.  If possible, please complete this survey prior to coming in, so you understand the types of questions being asked.
